Sant Nirankari Mission Update : निरंकारी बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी, एक अध्यात्मिक सद्गुरु एवं अमन और शांति के मसीहा के रूप में पूरी दुनिया में जाने-जाते थे

 

24 अप्रैल 1980 को जब बाबा गुरूबचन सिंह जी अपने भक्तो को अहिंसा और प्रेम की राह दिखा रहे थे तब हिंसक प्रवृति ने उनकी हत्या कर दी। और बाबा जी के बलिदान से इंसानियत चीख उठी उसके बाद 27 अप्रैल 1980 को बाबा हरदेव जी ने संत निरंकारी मिशन की कमान संभाली, बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी ने बूटा सिंह जी के द्वारा शुरू की गयी। निरंकारी परम्पारा के उस वृक्ष को संभाला जिस पर बाबा अवतार सिंह जी की अवतार बाणी पुष्प खिल रहे थे। Nirankari baba ji ने संत निरंकारी मिशन को सिर्फ देश हीं नहीं पूरी दुनिया में फैलाया और आज संत निरंकारी मिशन के 27 देशों में अपनी संगत हैं। बाबा जी ने सिर्फ मिशन हीं नहीं बल्कि कैसे ऐसे सामाजिक कार्यों में भी समाज की सेवा की जिनसे इंसानियत जिन्दा हो उठे और दुनिया में भाईचारा फैल सके।

मगर दुर्भाग्यवश 13 मई 2016 को कनाडा में एक कार एक्सिडेंट में बाबा जी का निधन हो गया और वे अपने पंचतत्व के शरीर को त्याग कर ब्रह्मलीन हो गए संत निरंकारी मंडल के प्रमुख बाबाa हरदेव जी ने इंसानियत प्रेम और भाईचारे और इंसानियत की सेवा के लिए जितना कुछ किया है उसको भुलाया नहीं जा सकता इसीलिए कहते हैं।

बाबा हरदेव का शुरूआती जीवन

निरंकारी बाबा सद्गुरू हरदेव सिंह जी महाराज का जन्म 23 फरवरी सन् 1954 को दिल्ली में बाबा गुरूबचन (पिता) और कुलवंत कौर (माता) के घर में हुआ बाबा हरदेव अपनी चार बहनों के एकलौते भाई थे। बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी शुरूआती पढाई रोसरी पब्लिक स्कूल दिल्ली से हुई तथा बाद की शिक्षा पटियाला के यादवेन्द्र स्कूल से हुई बाबा जी ने दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी से उच्च शिक्षा हासिल की। वे बहुत ही सरल और सहज स्वभाव के थे उनकी इस सादगी और अध्यात्मिक सोच के कारण उनके दोस्त उनको भोला बाबा भी कहते थे।

घर में अध्यात्म की ज्ञान गंगा बह रही थी और अध्यात्म के उसी ज्ञान में डुबकी लगाकर Nirankari baba ji बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी ने वर्ष 1971 में निरंकारी सेवा दल ज्वाइन करके लोगो की सेवा करना शुरू कर दिया, 14 नवम्बर 1975 को उन्होंने अपने पारिवारिक जीवन की शुरूआत की और निरंकारी भक्तों के परिवार से जुड़ी सुंदर शुशील और कर्मठ सविन्दर जी को अपने साथी के रूप में अपनाया और इस तरह से उनके सफर में हमसफर जुड़ गया और पूरा निरंकारी समुदाय खुशी से झूम उठा।

बाबा हरदेव सिंह अध्यात्मिक सफर

कितने भी कठिन परीक्षा क्यों ने हो सिद्ध पुरूष उस पर खरे उतरते हैं बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी के सामने भी ऐसी ही परिस्थिति थी 27 अप्रैल 1980 को साध सांगत की सेवा करने वाले बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी को सत्य गुरू का चोला पहना दिया गया। और बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी को निराश हताश और शोकाकुल दिलों की रहनुमाई सौंप दी गई। हिंसा के शिकार भक्तों को अहिंसा का ज्ञान देना आज के जमाने में जब धर्म के नाम पर अधर्म का बोल बाला हो हर तरफ अशांति के विशाल नाग फन लहरा रहे हों, Nirankari baba ji बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी के वचनों का अलग ही महत्व है। बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी निरंकारी मिशन के चैथे प्रमुख बने।

Nirankari baba ji बाबा जी हमेशा वसुधैवकुटुम्बकम् के उसूलों का प्रचार करते थे उनका कहना था की इंसानियत की हर धर्म की बुनियाद और आधार है। यही निरंकार है जो हर इंसान के अंदर है। इसलिए हर इंसान की कद्र करो और हर इंसान की सेवा करों, निरंकारी समुदाय में हिन्दू, मुस्लिम, सिक्ख और इसाई चारों धर्मों के लोग शामिल है, जिनकी संख्या करीब 2 करोड़ है। बाबा हरदेव जी के वचनों और कठिन प्रयासों के बाद आज निरंकारी बाबा ने दुनियां के 27 देशों में अपने संत निरंकारी मिशन के अस्तित्व को स्थापित करके अमन और शांति का पैगाम दिया।

संत निरंकारी मिशन इंसानों के लिए वो दर है जहां निरंकार (formless god) को आधार मानकर न कोई जात-पात देखी जाती है ना किसी का धर्म देखा जाता है और ना ही किसी की पदवी बस एक चीज देखी जाती है तो वो है ‘‘इंसानियत’’।

बाबा हरदेव सिंह आदेश से निम्न क्षेत्रों में उनके भक्तों द्वारा सेवा की गयी- रक्त दान, वृक्षारोपण, फ्री हेल्थ चेक अप सेवा, स्वच्छता, स्कूल, काॅलेज, आपदा में धन राशी दान, महिला व युवा सशक्तिकरण

सभी क्षेत्रों में निरंकारी द्वारा फ्री सेवा की गयी और इनको समाज और सरकार द्वारा खूब सराहा गया ब्लड डोनेशन में निरंकारी मिशन की बहुत बड़ी भूमिका है। जिसको साल 2016 में गिनीज बुक ऑफ वल्र्ड में भी दर्ज किया गया क्योंकि बाबा हरदेव कहते थे।

सद्गुरू बाबा हरदेव सिंह पूरी दुनिया में रह रहे निरंकारी समुदाय तथा सांसारिक लोगों को अमन और शांति देकर, लगातार बचपन से इंसानियत का पैगाम देकर, दुनिया में भाईचारे और मिलवर्तत का संदेश देकर 13 मई 2016 को माॅट्रियल कनाडा में एक कार एक्सिडेंट में पंच तत्वों के शरीर को त्याग कर ब्रह्मलीन हो गए और दुनिया में प्यार प्रेम भाईचारा मिलवर्तन इंसानियत सिखाने वाला एक मसीहा फिर इस दुनिया से अलविदा कह गये Nirankari baba ji के अकस्मात् निधन पर राष्ट्रपति प्रणव मुखर्जी, प्रधान मंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी, गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और कांग्रेस पार्टी की अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी व अन्य लोगों ने दुःख जताते हुए उनको श्रद्धांजलि दी। 17 मई 2016 को, बाबा हरदेव सिंह जी की पत्नी सविन्दर कौर जी को मिशन का पांचवां प्रमुख चुना गया और सद्गुरू बाबा की जिम्मेदारी उनको सौंपी गयी 18 मई 2016 को निगमबोध शमशान घाट में उनका अंतिम संस्कार करके उनको अश्रुपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि दी गयी।

In A First, Kerala Schools’ New Academic Year Begins Online

With authorities trying their level best to bring back normalcy to day-to-day lives of people — thrown haywire by the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdown — Kerala has opted for online teaching to ensure the studies of schoolchildren in the coastal state does not suffer.

Online classes have been enabled through state-owned KITE-Victers Channel to benefit about 4.5 million students from Class 1 to 12 of state syllabus schools.


Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan appeared on TV at 8.30 am on Monday and announced the commencement of the online classes.


“Each class will have separate time slots and schoolteachers concerned will have to constantly interact with their students to ensure that all follow the new routine of online classes,” said Vijayan.


For students who miss online classes due to power failure or connectivity issues, there will be a daily repeat telecast, as also available on YouTube.


But for the COVID scare, Monday would have witnessed the usual hustle and bustle in Kerala schools as students would have walked in wearing new school uniforms and carrying schoolbags.


Vice-Chairman and Executive Director Anwar Sadath of Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) — which is behind the IT-enabled education in over 16,000 Kerala schools — told IANS that they have been working on the project for a while, with the biggest advantage that all digital content was ready.


He said it could never ever be imagined that online classrooms would be put into effect so quickly.


“We have prepared time-tables for all classes. The first class of the day was for Class 12 English subject for half an hour in which lectures recorded by two teachers were aired. This service reaches every student’s home through the KITE-Victers channel, which is aired by a cable TV network,” said Sadath.


Daily, there will be four periods for Class 12, 3 for Class X and two each for Class 8 and 9, and one period each for all other classes. Each period will be of 30-minute duration.


“KITE-Victers is holding online classes through the broadcast, web, and even offline. One or two teachers handle one subject for a 30-minute period. The telecast is watched by all the students of that particular class across the state. At the end of the day, the teachers concerned at every school interact with their students through mobile phones for feedback. It’s the responsibility of the teacher concerned to clear all doubts of his or her students,” said Sadath.


Recording of all lectures for the next two weeks has been done while recording for the third week has commenced.


Special arrangements have been made for students who do not have TVs or smartphones.


“In-state schools, there are 1.20 lakh laptops, 80,000 projectors, and 4,500 TV sets. By now, teachers have identified students who do not have access to TVs. We have made arrangements to set up TV facilities in which 5 to 10 students can visit near their homes and attend online classes while observing social distancing norms. All these students need to come for just 30 minutes daily,” the KITE officer said.


State Higher Education Minister (Colleges) K.T. Jaleel, who has been a history teacher, inaugurated the online classes for colleges by taking a lecturer on ‘renaissance’ for History students. For the colleges, it’s more of a web telecast.


State Education Minister C. Raveendranth, a former college professor, said that the online classes were just a temporary arrangement and not an alternative to traditional classroom learning.


“Once the situation normalizes, students can return to their classrooms. All shortcomings in the online system will be rectified,” said Raveendranath.


A Class 12 student, who attended her first online class, said it was a new experience for her.


“However, I wish to attend school and sit in a classroom with my friends. Online teaching does not give the same experience as one gets when in school. I wish and hope the schools reopen soon,” said the student.


Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy pointed out that Victer's TV channel was launched by then-President APJ Abdul Kalam when Chandy was the Chief Minister in 2005.

झारखंड में संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियां निरन्तर कर रही है मानव सेवा

संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियों के तत्वधान में झारखण्ड के सुदूर ग्रामीण और कुछ शहरी क्षेत्रों में जरूरतमंद और निःसहाय परिवारों के बीच अपने अनुयायियों एवं समर्थकों के साथ खाद्य पदार्थ एवं सुरक्षा सामग्री का निरन्तर लाॅकडाउन के बाद से ही वितरण हो रहा है।

झारखंड राज्य में जो अपनी सेवाएं लंगर एवं राशन बांटने में संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ निःस्वार्थ भाव से राज्य में प्रभावित हजारों परिवारों के बीच कर रहा है, यह सेवा झारखंड में चलाये जा रहे सरकारी विभागों द्वारा और अन्य समाजिक संस्थाओं द्वारा की कड़ी में एक महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। इसकी चर्चा झारखंड के जनमानस में बहुत सम्मानित ढंग से हो रही है।

       "संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियां झारखण्ड राज्य के अलावे मध्यप्रदेश, बंगाल, असम जहां कुछ क्षेत्रों में     उनकी शाखाएं हैं, वहां भी उनके अनुयायी निःस्वार्थ भाव से मानव सेवा में तन-मन-धन से समर्पित हैं।"

लाभुकों जिनकी आर्थिक दृष्टि दयनीय है, ससम्मान एवं प्यार से उन्हें कच्चा राशन घर-घर पहुंचाकर दिया जा रहा है।

सेवारत पुत्रियों ने साथ ही साथ राहत सामग्री बांटते हुए सभी लोगों को कोरोना वायरस से संबंधित सावधानी व बचाव की कई जानकारियाॅं दी और भोजन वितरण स्थल पर आनेवाले लोगों को मास्क लगाकर आने के लिए हिदायत दी तथा सावधानी के अन्तर्गत उन्होंने बताया कि आपसब एक-दूसरे से पर्याप्त दूरी बनाकर रहिए, इसमें कोरोना वायरस से मुक्ति होगी।

"संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियों का कहना है कि इस संसार में रहने वाले बहन-भाई सब अपने हैं और उनकी सेवा करना हमारा कर्तव्य है।"

In worst case scenario, 200,000 Americans could die from COVID19: White House

 Sending out a dire warning, the White House on Sunday projected America’s peak death toll from the coronavirus is likely in two weeks coinciding with Easter weekend and in a worst-case scenario, a total of 100,000 to 200,000 Americans could eventually succumb to the virus.

“It’s possible. It’s entirely possible that would happen if we don’t mitigate. What we’re trying to do is to not let that happen,” America’s top infectious diseases doctor, Anthony Fauci said at a White House briefing in the Rose Garden on Sunday.

Dr. Deborah Birx, White House coronavirus response coordinator, explained that the model which is predicting the 100,000-200,000 death toll number assumes that social distancing is happening at scale.

“In the model, there’s a large confidence interval. In that model, they make the full assumption that we continue doing everything that we are doing and even better. We are hoping that the models aren’t completely right,” Birx said.

At the same time, Fauci urged Americans not to get “overly anxious” about the extremes of the models. “Models are as good as the assumptions you put into it,” Fauci said.

US President Donald Trump said that the grim numbers come from the “most accurate” study so far which landed on his desk Sunday.

Trump said, “2.2 million people would have died if we did not do the social distancing and all that. If we could hold that down to a 100,000 – it’s a horrible number – we’ve done a very good job.”

Trump announced that the US is extending the social distancing guidelines currently in place till April 30.

Seeking to reassure Americans, Trump said, “By June 1, we will be well on our way to recovery.”

By Sunday, the US death toll crossed the 2,300 marks and its caseload, already the world’s maximum rose to more than 135,000.

By now, at least 1 in three Americans are under some form of a government order to stay home and slow the spread of the virus. Schools have shut, businesses are operating with bare minimum staff and America’s neighborhoods are enveloped in an otherworldly kind of silence.

The initial ’15 days to slow the spread’ guidelines issued by the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) were announced on March 16. The guidelines are voluntary and many states which have emerged as COVID-19 hotspots have implemented stricter rules for locals.

Last week, Trump had talked up the “reopening” of the US economy by Easter Sunday which falls on April 12. Medical professionals reacted with alarm, warning that this timeline would be too soon.

Trump backtracked this weekend on a threat to quarantine New York and neighboring states while the CDC issued a travel advisory urging residents of New York City, New York State, New Jersey, and Connecticut to avoid all nonessential travel for 14 days.

In New York, which remains the epicenter of the outbreak, Governor Andrew Cuomo is saying that the virus is spreading “like fire through dry grass”. The White House task force has already warned that the effects of mitigation efforts and social distancing won’t be seen at least until the end of the coming week.

As Americans hunker down, Fauci has struck a cautiously upbeat tone saying he feels “confident” with all the knowledge now available on the virus. “We will have some sort of therapy, that gives at least a partial if not very good protection in preventing progression of the disease,” he said this week. Randomized control trials are how the US is planning to get the best drug as quickly and safely as possible to the people.

As the White House task force gets more data from domestic cases, Birx noted that “we’re seeing things here that weren’t reported from other places.”

जनसंख्या विस्फोट : प्रधानमंत्री जी, अपील नहीं, कानून बनाइए

• प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने यह भी कहा कि छोटा परिवार रखना भी एक तरह की देशभक्ति है।

स्वाधीनता दिवस पर लाल किले के प्राचीर से प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने इस बार जनसंख्या विस्फोट पर गहरी चिंता व्यक्त की। उन्होंने जनसंख्या वृद्धि पर रोक के लिए किसी कानून का जिक्र नहीं किया, किंतु इतना जरूर कहा कि माता-पिता आने वाले शिशु के भविष्य के बारे में सोचें।

वे विचार करें कि क्या उन्होंने नये शिशु की जरूरतें पूरी करने का इंतजाम कर लिया है।

यानी माता-पिता यह स्वयं निर्णय करें कि नवांगतुक की पढ़ाई-लिखाई-दवाई के साथ-साथ उसकी अन्य आवश्यकताएं पूरी करने के लिए संसाधनों की व्यवस्था हो गई है।

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने यह भी कहा कि छोटा परिवार रखना भी एक तरह की देशभक्ति है।

स्पष्ट है कि उन्होंने यह बात एक समाज सुधारक की दृष्टि से कही। 2014 में उन्होंने इसी लाल किले के प्राचीर से स्वच्छता आंदोलन चलाने का आहवान किया था और उसका परिणाम यह हुआ है कि हमारा देश स्वच्छता के प्रति आग्रही बन गया है।

खामियों और सही गलत आलोचनाओं के बावजूद हमारे शहर कस्बे, गांव, मुहल्ले पहले से जयादा साफ-सुथरे हुए हैं और जिस गति से देश भर में शौचालय निर्माण का कार्य चल रहा है, भारत अगले कुछ वर्षों में खुले में शौच से मुक्त हो जाएगा। अब सवाल यह है कि क्या छोटा परिवार रखने की मोदी अपील स्वच्छता आंदोलन की तरह ही सकारात्मक दिशा में आगे बढ़ेंगी और यह भी कि आखिर प्रधानमंत्री को ऐसी अपील क्यों करनी पड़ी?

दरअसल देश के प्रथम प्रधानमंत्री जवाहर लाल नेहरू ने 1952-53 में हीं जनसंख्या वृद्धि पर चिंता जताई थी, लेकिन उन्होंने इसके लिए किया कुछ भी नहीं। लाल बहादुर शास्त्री के समय भी यह विचार आया कि जिस रफ्तार से जनसंख्या बढ़ रही है, उससे भविष्य में विषम परिस्थितियां पैदा हो सकती है।

शास्त्री जी को एक बार जब परिवार नियोजन से सम्बंधित कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि बनाया गया, तो उन्होंने उसमें शरीक होने से यह कहते हुए इनकार कर दिया कि उनका परिवार चूॅंकि बड़ा है, इसलिए वे इस विषय पर बोलने के हकदार नहीं है।

खैर, शास्त्री जी बहुत जल्दी गोलोकवासी हो गए, लेकिन इंदिरा गांधी ने परिवार नियोजन को परिवार नियंत्रण के रूप में बदलने की भरपूर कोशिश की। वह इमरजेंसी का दौर था और इंदिरा जी ने इमरजेंसी लगाई ही थी अपनी कुर्सी की रक्षा के लिए, क्योंकि इलाहाबाद (अब प्रयाग) उच्च न्यायालय के जज न्यायमूर्ति जगमोहन लाल सिन्हा ने राय बरेली से इंदिरा गांधी के निर्वाचन को अवैध घोषित कर दिया था। उस समय देश भर में इंदिरा हटाओ, देश बचाओ का आंदोलन चल रहा था। आंदोलन का नेतृत्व जय प्रकाश नारायण कर रहे थे। सभी नेता जेलों में ठूंस दिये गये थे। अखबारों पर पाबंदी लगा दी गई थी और उसी बीच जबरन नसबंदी का ऐसा जोर चला कि जनता भड़क गई।

मीडिया पर प्रतिबंध के कारण अफवाहें भी फैली और एक अच्छा कदम गलत समय में गलत तरीके से उठाये जाने के कारण बदनाम हो गया। उसके बाद हम दो, हमारे दो का प्रचार-प्रसार तो खूब हुआ, लेकिन जनसंख्या बढ़ती रही और उसके बाद किसी प्रधानमंत्री ने इस बाबत किसी सख्त कानून के बारे में सोचा तक नहीं। अब नरेन्द्र मोदी ने जनसंख्या विस्फोट पर चिंता जताई है और ऐसा लगता है कि वह इस दिशा में कोई कानूनी प्रावधान भी करेंगे। हालांकि अभी वह जन जागरूकता की ही बात कर रहे हैं।

परिवार नियोजन या जनसंख्या नियंत्रण पर किसी कानून की आहट भाव से सबसे ज्यादा खलबली मुसलमानों खासतौर से मुस्लिम वोटों के सौदागारों को होती है। आज भी मोदी की अपील के खिलाफ आवैसी की पार्टी विरोधी स्वर में बोलने लगी है। कुछ दूसरे मौलाना सभी कुलबुला रहे हैं। लेकिन यह मामला हिंदू, मुसलमान, सिख, इसाई का नहीं है।  इसका संबंध देश की तरक्की से है और यदि जनसंख्या का प्रवाह वर्तमान गति से बढ़ता गया तो भारत कभी गरीबी से मुक्त नहीं हो पाएगा।

अभी प्रधानमंत्री वह रहे हैं कि 2022 तक सबको पक्का मकान मिल जाएगा, लेकिन उसके बाद जो आयेंगे, उनके लिए मकान कब बनेगा, कौन बनवाएगा, कितना बनवाएगा, कब तक बनवाता रहेगा और क्या सरकार यही करती रहेगी। अभी कहा जा रहा है कि तीन साल में देश के सभी घरों की बिजली मिल जायेगी, लेकिन उसके बाद भी हर पल अंधेरे घरों की संख्या बढ़ेगी।

सरकार तेजी से सड़कें बनवा रही है, लेकिन सड़कें कम पड़ती जा रही है। वाहन बढ़ रहे हैं। ट्रेनों में जगह नहीं है। बस खचाखच भरी रहती है। आलम यह है कि देश के बड़े हिस्से में पीने का पानी तक नसीब नहीं हो रहा है, खासतौर से गर्मी के दिनों में। आखिर सरकारें सस्ते अनाजों की कितनी दुकानें खोलेगी। सब्सिडी से देश कब तक चलेगा और फिर अनाज आएगा कहां से।

परिवार बढ़ रहे हैं, बंट रहे हैं। जोत घट रही है। जरूरतें बढ़ रही है। संसाधन घट रहे हैं। बेरोजगारों की फौज बढ़ रही है और हम सरकार पर ठीकरा फोड़कर अपनी जिम्मेदारियों से मुक्त हो जाते हैं। यानी बच्चे हमारे और माई-बाप सरकार है।

ऐसा कब तक चलेगा। जिस देश में जनसंख्या के लिहाज से हर साल एक यूरोपीय देश जुड़ रहा हो, उस देश को बचाने-संभालने की जिम्मेदारी क्या हमारी नहीं है।

प्रधानमंत्री ने इन्हीं सब सवालों पर सोचने-विचारने के लिए लाल किले के प्राचीर से आहवान किया है। लेकिन यदि हम भाजपा विरोध या मोदी विरोध के कारण अब देश हित के इस काम में नहीं जुटे, तो बहुत देर हो जाएगी।

होना तो यह चाहिए कि जनता स्वयं केन्द्र और राज्य सरकारों से कहे कि जनसंख्या नियंत्रण के लिए कोई न कोई कानून अवश्य बनना चाहिए। 1952 से आज तक जन जागरूकता अभियान बहुत चला है। आगे भी चलेगा, चले,

लेकिन साथ ही कुछ ऐसा कानून तो बनना ही चाहिए,जिससे जनसंख्या वृद्धि की रफ्तार राष्ट्रहित में रूके।

विरोध-प्रदर्शनों के बीच देश में नागरिकता संशोधन कानून लागू, केंद्र सरकार ने गजट नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया

नई दिल्ली। विरोध प्रदर्शनों और समर्थन के बीच देशभर में शुक्रवार से नागरिकता संशोधन कानून (CAA) लागू हो गया है। केंद्र सरकार ने शुक्रवार को संशोधित नागरिकता कानून की अधिसूचना जारी कर दी। इसके साथ ही यह कानून पूरे देश में प्रभावी हो गया। गजट नोटिफिकेशन के मुताबिक केंद्रीय गृह मंत्रालय ने इस कानून को लागू करने की तारीख 10 जनवरी, 2020 की तारीख तय की है।

नागरिकता संशोधन कानून क्या है?

नागरिकता कानून 1955 में आया था। इसके तहत किसी भी व्यक्ति को भारतीय नागरिकता लेने के लिए कम से कम 11 साल भारत में रहना अनिवार्य है। भारत में अवैध तरीके से दाखिल होने वाले लोगों को नागरिकता नहीं मिल सकती है। उन्हें वापस उनके देश भेजने या हिरासत में रखने के प्रावधान हैं। संशोधित विधेयक में पड़ोसी देशों अफगानिस्तान, बांग्लादेश और पाकिस्तान के अल्पसंख्यक शरणार्थियों (हिंदू, सिख, जैन, बौद्ध, पारसी और ईसाई) को नागरिकता मिलने का समय घटाकर 11 साल से 6 साल किया गया है। मुस्लिमों और अन्य देशों के नागरिकों के लिए यह अवधि 11 साल ही रहेगी।

नागरिकता संशोधन विधेयक 10 दिसंबर को लोकसभा और उसके एक दिन बाद राज्यसभा में पारित हुआ था। राष्ट्रपति के हस्ताक्षर के बाद 12 दिसंबर को यह कानून बन गया। इसके तहत पाकिस्तान, अफगानिस्तान और बांग्लादेश में प्रताड़ना का शिकार हो रहे हिंदू, ईसाई, सिख, बौद्ध, पारसी और यहूदी अल्पसंख्यकों को भारत की नागरिकता देने का प्रावधान है। गौरतलब है कि इस कानून को लेकर देश के कई हिस्सों में विरोध प्रदर्शन हो रहे हैं। वहीं, इसके समर्थन में भी बड़ी संख्या में लोग आगे आए हैं।

बता दें कि नागरिकता कानून पर कई दिनों से देशभर में संग्राम छिड़ा हुआ है। इसी शुरुआत असम से हुई थी। राज्यसभा में बिल पास होते ही विरोध प्रदर्शनों का सिलसिला शुरू हो गया था। इसके विरोध में हिंसा की आग कई शहरों तक पहुंची।

उत्तर प्रदेश, दिल्ली, कर्नाटक में हिंसक प्रदर्शन हुए। यूपी में करीब 19 लोगों की मौत हुई जबकि कर्नाटक में तीन लोगों की जान गई। दिल्ली में भी भारी विरोध प्रदर्शन हुआ था। विरोध प्रदर्शनों का सिलसिला आज भी जारी है, हालांकि अब ये शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से हो रहा है।

बाद में इसके समर्थन में भी लोग खुलकर सामने आने लगे। कई शहरों में इसके समर्थन में रैली निकाली गई। गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने भी कहा कि सीएए को हर हाल में लागू कराया जाएगा और पीछे हटने का सवाल ही पैदा नहीं होता।

Thousands protest in Delhi showing support for ‘Bharat Bandh’

Thousands of members from at least ten trade unions on Wednesday protested here against the Centre and extended their support to the all-India shutdown by trade unions.

Gathered at the Shaheed Park, the members walked towards the ITO intersection and blocked a section of Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.

Holding red trade union flags and braving the winter drizzle, the protesters shouted slogans “Stop attacking students”, “Stop attacking universities”, “India belongs to us”, “Stop dividing us”, and “NRC, CAA, NPR will not be allowed”.

They extended support to the anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and anti-National Register of Citizens (NRC) protests as also to protesting students, saying these issues are affecting all Indians, including labor.

The demonstration was called to support the all-India general strike called by the trade unions.

The said they are on streets across the country because they are unhappy with the “Modi-Shah government as they have destroyed the country”.

Delhi Goes To Polls On Feb 8, Counting On Feb 11

The election commission on Monday announced February 8 to be the date of Delhi assembly elections. The model code of conduct comes into effect with the announcement, the EC said.

The date of notification is January 14, while January 21 will be the last date of filing nominations.

There is a total of seventy seats in Delhi out of which Aam Aadmi Party won sixty-seven last time.

Mainly three political parties are in the fray for the election — Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party, and the Congress.

Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Arora, whose tenure is ending on February 22, said that he held a meeting with Chief Secretary and senior officials last month about holding elections.

Ninety thousand officials are to be deployed for poll duties, he said. Additional secretaries will look after the deployment of officers.

Arora lamented that some constituencies in Delhi had lower turnouts last time than Maoists affected areas. But he assured that the EC is taking all steps to ensure more participation this time. There are 13,750 polling stations in Delhi.

Arora also announced pick and drop facilities for senior citizens who would like to vote. The postal ballot facility for people with disabilities and senior citizens above the age of eighty is also available.

Teams for monitoring the media have also been formed, informed the Election Commission.

Citizenship Bill introduced in LS amid opposition’s objection

The government on Monday introduced the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in the Lok Sabha despite objection raised by the opposition parties calling the move “fundamentally unconstitutional” and “violation” of Article 14 of the Indian constitution and others.

Following over an hour debate on Bill’s legislative competence if it can be taken or not, the lower House allowed it after the division of votes with 293 in its favor and 82 against.

Introducing the Bill, Union Home Minister Amit Shah rejected allegations of opposition members, saying “I assure that the Bill does not violate any Article of the Indian Constitution and that any citizen will not be deprived of their rights”.

“Every citizen has been given place in the Bill on the basis of reasonable classification.”

He said that the Bill seeks to provide Indian nationality to Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists fleeing persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

The Minister said that the Bill has been introduced after analyzing the constitution of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

Referring to the Nehru-Liaquat agreement signed in 1950 after the partition of India and Pakistan, Shah said it was agreed to protect the rights of minorities but only India followed it but Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains, and Buddhists faced atrocities in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

“The Bill is for those minorities who faced religious persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.”

The Minister clarified as the Muslim community was not persecuted in the three Islamic countries, the Bill specifically mentions to provide citizenship to six religious persecuted minorities.

“The people of the six minority communities who migrated to India following religious persecution in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will be given Indian citizenship as per this Bill. They are being given citizenship on the basis of reasonable classification. The Bill does not violate Article 14 of the Indian Constitution.”

But, Shah said, the Bill is not against the Muslim community and that if any Muslim seeks citizenship in India based on rules he will be entertained as per the Article of the Bill.

Major opposition parties, including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Revolutionary Socialist Party, Dravida Munnetra Kazhgam, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen, and Indian Union Muslim League, opposed the Bill citing various Articles of Indian Constitution.

महाराष्ट्र में शिवसेना संग बनायेंगे सरकार हम: कांग्रेस-राकांपा

नयी दिल्ली 20 नवम्बर (वार्ता) कांग्रेस और राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी (राकांपा) ने बुधवार को घोषणा की कि वे महाराष्ट्र में शिवसेना के साथ यथाशीघ्र एवं यथासंभव गठबंधन सरकार बनायेंगे।

कांग्रेस नेता पृथ्वीराज चौहान ने यहां राकांपा प्रमुख शरद पवार के आवास पर कांग्रेस और राकांपा नेताओं की बैठक के बाद संवाददातओं से यह बात कही। बैठक में कांग्रेस के अहमद पटेल, मल्लिार्जुन खड़गे, जयराम रमेश, के सी वेणुगोपाल, बालासाहेब थोराट तथा राकांपा के अजीत पवार, सुप्रिया सुले, नवाब मलिक और अन्य नेता मौजूद थे।

श्री चौहान ने कहा, “ राकांपा और कांग्रेस ने गठबंधन सरकार के गठन के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर विचार किया है। आज हमारे बीच लंबी और बहुत उपयोगी चर्चा हुई तथा कुछ पहलुओं पर अभी भी चर्चा की जानी है।”

श्री मलिक ने कहा कि कांग्रेस और राकांपा नेताओं ने परस्पर निर्णय लिया है कि वे महाराष्ट्र में वैकल्पिक सरकार का गठन करेंगे। उन्होंने कहा, “राकांपा-कांग्रेस-शिवसेना के एक साथ आए बिना यह संभव नहीं है। हम सभी मुद्दों को सुलझाने के लिए बेहतर प्रयास कर रहे हैं। हम यथाशीघ्र और यथासंभव वैकल्पिक सरकार बनायेंगे।”

कांग्रेस और राकांपा के राष्ट्रीय नेताओं ने श्री पवार और कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी के साथ कई बैठकें की है। श्रीमती गांधी ने शिवसेना के साथ गठबंधन के लिए मंजूरी दे दी है , हालांकि उन्होंने सजगता के साथ कदम उठाने के भी निर्देश दिए हैं।
