Hyderabad Update : BJP now main threat to TRS’ dominance in Telangana

 There were celebrations at Telangana Bhavan on Friday when it appeared that TRS is heading to retain power in GHMC but couple of hours later gloom replaced that joy as the party began trailing BJP in 10-15 divisions.

 

Despite emerging as the single largest party with 55 seats in 150-member Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has more reasons to be worried about by the poll outcome.

 

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may not have captured GHMC in the fiercely contested polls but it sent the alarm bells ringing within the TRS.

 

From just four seats in 2016 to 48 divisions in 2020 under its belt, BJP has emerged as the main challenger to TRS.

 

Coming close on the heels of its victory in Dubbak Assembly by-election, the BJP’s impressive show in Greater Hyderabad has given credence to its claim as the sole alternative for the TRS as well as an impetus to its dream march in the south.

 

Political analysts say the saffron party with big gains has emerged as a dominant force in the state with its eyes set on the ultimate goal of winning 2023 Assembly polls and turn Telangana into second gateway to South India after Karnataka.

 

It was for this reason that the BJP leadership focused on GHMC campaign. Central Ministers including Amit Shah, party president J.P. Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath campaigned for the party candidates for the civic body polls.

 

The party aggressively pushed Hindutva's agenda to polarize votes while attacking TRS for what it called a secret alliance with the ‘communal’ Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM).

 

The analysts say TRS defeat in Dubbak and the setback in GHMC proves there is anti-incumbency and BJP has used this to its advantage thus replacing Congress as the main opposition.

 

“BJP has clearly made a mark in GHMC elections by improving the Party’s tally from 2016. And with Congress once again failing, the saffron party acquired the status of the main opposition to the ruling TRS,” said analyst P. Raghavendra Reddy.

 

“These results will surely have a bearing on all the future elections in the State, and BJP will be the main opposition to TRS.”

 

He believes that BJP with the new strength will make TRS struggle politically in the coming months.

 

After the formation of Telangana state, TRS was successful in preventing BJP from becoming a threat. In the 2018 elections, BJP’s performance was disastrous as it won only one seat in 119-member Assembly. Its vote share was just seven percent.

 

However, in the Lok Sabha elections held a few months later, BJP surprised everyone by winning four seats. It wrested three seats from TRS, including Nizamabad where Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was defeated. BJP increased its vote share to 20 percent.

 

Analysts, however, say Chandrasekhar Rao while weakening Congress by luring its legislators to TRS, underestimated the danger from TRS.

 

The anti-incumbency votes which used to get divided among different parties started consolidating under the BJP.

 

This was proved in Dubbak where BJP’s vote share went up to 38 percent. By polling over 30 percent votes again in GHMC polls, BJP has sent a warning to TRS that it faces stiff challenges ahead.

 

BJP’s next target will be the by-elections to Nagarjunasagar Assembly seat, which fell vacant following the death of sitting legislator of TRS’ Nomula Narsimhaiah three days ago.

Ahmed Patel’s demise leaves many question marks in Rajasthan politics

 Ahmed Patel is no more and his sudden demise has left a number of questions unanswered in Rajasthan politics.

The raging question being discussed by one and all in political circles is who will replace Patel in the 3-member committee formed to address the political crisis which erupted soon after the former deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot launched a rebellion against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in July.

Patel along with Ajay Maken and KC Venugopal was in the committee set up to redress the grievances of the rebel lobby in Rajasthan. In fact, Patel was the person who resolved the political crisis with his acumen and brought Pilot and his MLAs back in the party’s fold.

Now, the Congress workers are waiting to know how things proceed, “how will political appointments be announced, will there be cabinet expansion? How much weight will be given to Pilot and his MLAs who were divested of their portfolios after the crisis? When will the PCCs, dissolved in July after the political crisis, be formed again? Will the Gehlot loyalists who camped in hotels during the crisis for over a month be given plum posts?

Besides these, there are many other issues that need to be addressed in Rajasthan.

Speculations are rife whether Pilot will be elevated in the AICC or will Gehlot get mileage or if he will re-induct Pilot into his ministry.

Now, with Patel’s departure, there is suspense in the party over how things will proceed, said Jogendra Singh Awana, former BSP MLA who joined the Congress with five other BSP MLAs.

These ex-BSP MLAs are also awaiting their turn to get a position in the cabinet and other political appointments.

Everything including the cabinet expansion, political appointments, re-induction of rebel leaders etc were awaited but with Patel’s demise, a lot of uncertainty has been created and all eyes are on Rajasthan — will Gehlot give a major portfolio to Pilot or not, is what we all are looking for, said a senior Congress leader.

Meanwhile, Sachin Pilot, when contacted, told IANS that Ahmed Patel’s demise is a major loss for the party. “He was a pillar of the Congress who kept the young and the old united.”

The party in this time of crisis needs to stand united. Very soon, the PCC shall have a new team under its chief Govind Singh Dotasara in Rajasthan. Also, the pending developments too shall take place although there can be some delay in the matter.

Earlier Maken had been infected with COVID and Venugopal’s mother passed away. Now, our pillar of strength Patel is no more. So things might take time but everything will be resolved soon, he added.

In July, the PCC of Rajasthan was dissolved and the new committees for each district are yet to be announced.

Three of the committee members, Patel, Maken, and Venugopal were monitoring the developments and taking feedback from the grassroots leaders.

State education minister Govind Singh Dotasara was announced as the new PCC chief after Pilot was sacked from that position.

Pilot’s loyalist ministers namely Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena’s portfolios were also taken away.

In fact, the former PCC members and these former ministers have been awaiting their re-induction with the formation of the three-member committee.

Now, how and when shall these developments take place is a major question, said Awana.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had also expressed grief over the passing away of Ahmed Patel and termed him as his close friend and a trusted partner. “It was a great loss to the entire political community and the nation.”

“Sh. Ahmed Patel dedicated his entire life to the Congress party, Gehlot said.”

“In this way, he remained committed to keeping the Congress organization united even though staying away from power in his political life for more than four decades. His absence would be sorely missed,” he said in his tweet.

Corona Vaccine : Vaccines against COVID-19 may not need to be administered annually – WHO Official

 

 Ekaterina Ivanova– Any safe and effective vaccine against COVID-19 may not need to be administered annually, unlike vaccines for influenza, Dr. Richard Mihigo, the program area manager for immunization and vaccine development at the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Regional Office for Africa, told Sputnik in an interview.

“It’s difficult to predict now for how long the effect of the vaccine will last. It’s true that for flu vaccines, most of the time we need to repeat it every year, depending on the different strains of the virus being seasonal for north, west, etc. For the coronavirus, we believe that it may not necessarily be the case,” Dr. Mihigo remarked.

Citing the ongoing phase 3 clinical trials of several candidate vaccines in South Africa, as well as of therapeutic treatments such as the steroid dexamethasone, the WHO official said it was unclear how long it will take for conclusive results to be drawn from the tests.

“Our role is to create an enabling environment in which these therapeutics, these vaccines can be tested. And then we observe what will be the outcome of such clinical trials. It’s very difficult to predict when [we will see] the outcome,” Dr. Mihigo said.

Three vaccine producers – AstraZeneca, Johnson&Johnson, and Novavax – are currently conducting trials of candidate vaccines in South Africa, the WHO official outlined.
“We do have a few clinical trials currently going on, mainly in South Africa … The AstraZeneca trial started a couple of weeks ago. We have a Novavax vaccine that also started in South Africa and, most recently, the Johnson&Johnson vaccine that also started in South Africa. Other countries have also been approached – Kenya, Uganda – but clinical trials have not yet started there,” Dr. Mihigo said.

Johnson&Johnson on Tuesday announced that clinical trials of their candidate vaccine against COVID-19 would be paused after one patient exhibited symptoms of an “unexplained” illness.

AstraZeneca, which is producing its candidate vaccine in conjunction with the UK’s University of Oxford, was also forced to temporarily suspend its trials in early September after adverse side effects were seen in one patient.

Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), has said that Russian vaccines against COVID-19, which are based on the well-researched human adenovirus platform, may prove safer than using Western vaccines that are based on a chimpanzee adenovirus.

The RDIF is producing the Sputnik V vaccine in conjunction with its developer, the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.

Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code(Second Amendment) Bill, 2020 passed by RS

 The Rajya Sabha on Saturday passed a Bill to temporarily suspend initiation of the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

 

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code(Second Amendment) Bill, 2020, moved for consideration by the Upper House, was passed by a voice vote.

 

The passage of the Bill came after the house negated the Statutory resolution moved by K K Ragesh disapproving the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 (No. 9 of 2020) promulgated by the President of India on June 5, 2020.

 

The Bill amends the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

 

The Code provides a time-bound process for resolving insolvency in companies and among individuals. Insolvency is a situation where individuals or companies are unable to repay their outstanding debt.

 

The Bill seeks to temporarily suspend initiation of the corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) under the Code.

 

Responding to the debate on the Bill, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the purpose of suspending Section 10 A of the IBC was to prevent businesses from getting pushed into insolvency due to the COVID situation.

 

‘The situation before us in March was clearly of putting lives before livelihood. When PM announced the Janta curfew, he said it was a preventive remedy and did not know for how long it would last. Naturally, lockdown impacted business and financial markets, did we just sit and watch? No.

 

‘It is better to suspend sections 7, 9 and 10 of IBC so that we can prevent businesses from getting pushed into insolvency and with that intention an ordinance was brought out. With this intention, Section 10A of the ordinance was brought in. Our intention of initiating corporate insolvency for matters that occurred during lockdown, was to give immunity during this period. This is only for those which arrive during COVID period. Amendment of section 66 provides that no obligation shall be filed by a resolution professional,’ she said.

 

On members commenting on the government coming up with lot of ordinances, she said that the purpose of this government coming up with Ordinances was to ensure that the emerging situations are addressed from time to time.

 

“We repeatedly hear that this government comes out with an ordinance. That is to ensure that the emerging situations are addressed and we come back to the House and get the Bills passed. It is a responsive government’s duty is to show that we are with the people of India,’ she said.

Financial Education : RBI releases ‘National Strategy for Financial Education: 2020-2025’

 To achieve the vision of creating a financially aware and empowered India, the Reserve Bank on Thursday released the ‘Second National Strategy for Financial Education (NSFE) for the period 2020-2025.

The NSFE 2020-25 intends to support the Centre and financial sector regulators’ vision of empowering various sections of society to “develop adequate knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviour which are needed to manage their money better and to plan for the future”.

“The strategy recommends adoption of a multi-stakeholder approach to achieve financial well-being of Indians,” the RBI said in a statement.

Accordingly, to achieve the vision of creating a financially aware and empowered India, certain strategic objectives have been laid down which include inculcating financial literacy concepts among various sections of the population through financial education to “make it an important life skill”.

“Encouraging active savings behaviour and developing credit discipline; improving usage of digital financial services in a safe and secure manner; bringing awareness about rights, duties and avenues for grievance redressal, etc,” the statement said.

“In order to achieve the ‘Strategic Objectives’ laid down, the document recommends adoption of a ‘5 C’ approach for dissemination of financial education through emphasis on the development of relevant ‘Content’, developing ‘Capacity’ among the intermediaries involved in providing financial services, leveraging on the positive effect of ‘Community’ led model for financial literacy through appropriate ‘Communication Strategy’, and lastly, enhancing ‘Collaboration’ among various stakeholders.”

As part of the exercise to prepare the strategy paper, the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) also conducted a survey to find out the status of financial literacy in India. As per the survey, the percentage of population above the financial literacy threshold Is highest in Western India that houses the two major stock exchanges of the country while people in North East come a close second. Eastern and Central India still have to go a long way in updating their financial understanding.

Also, the salaried class in both the government and the private sector seems to understand financial products better than other segments. The number of earnings also reflect a financial understanding of people with those earning the highest crossing the financial education threshold easily while those in middle to lower-income groups have still to do a lot of catching up.

Surprisingly, there has been a marked improvement in understanding financial products by rural India in the last five years with 24 per cent of the population now fairly aware about financial systems as against just 15 per of the population in 2013.

What will it take to make effective Covid-19 vaccine?

With the global pandemic still in full swing, scientists around the world are working to develop an effective vaccine for Covid-19 virus in record time but they don’t all agree on how to get there and what “effective” really means.

 

In the study, published in the journal Chemical & Engineering News (C&EN), the experts spoke with researchers, doctors, and business leaders to shed light on some of the challenges vaccine developers are facing.

 

“As of mid-July, the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported that over 160 vaccine programs were in progress, an unprecedented effort toward a common goal,” wrote the study author Ryan Cross from C&EN in the US.

 

For SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, that part is the spike protein, which the virus uses to attach itself to human cells.

 

Both types of methods can be time-consuming, and traditional approaches are potentially dangerous because companies need to grow large amounts of virus.

 

This has caused some scientists to turn to experimental gene-based vaccines, the experts said. Researchers put the genetic code for the spike protein into harmless viruses that act as vessels, or simply use DNA or RNA to deliver the genetic information to human cells.

 

Human cells would use these instructions to make the spike protein, which would trigger an immune response.

 

These types of vaccines are very fast for scientists to design and make, but the technology is largely unproven, and it remains to be seen whether these kinds of vaccines are effective, Cross wrote.

 

Furthermore, there are many different modifications that scientists can make to the spike protein, which could change how our immune systems respond to the real virus.

 

According to Cross, vaccine makers are focusing on the ability of candidates to produce high levels of neutralizing antibodies that would prevent the virus from entering cells.

 

But this area of vaccine research also faces challenges. For example, the methods for quantifying the antibody response in the laboratory are not ideal.

 

In addition, it’s unclear just how much neutralization is good enough and for how long the effect would last.

 

“If antibody levels aren’t high enough, a person might only be left with partial immunity, which could prevent severe symptoms but still leave them with the ability to infect others and what works in one person might not work well in another,” Cross said.

 

Questions about safety still loom, and experts warn that moving too fast with an unsafe vaccine could shake public confidence.

सियासी संकट के बीच गहलोत सरकार का 109 विधायकों के समर्थन का दावा

 

• राजस्थान में सियासी उठापटक के बीच सोमवार सुबह ग्‍यारह बजे मुख्‍यमत्री अशोक गहलोत के आवास पर होने थी लेकिन अभी शुरू नहीं हो सही है। उम्मीद है कि बैठक अब दोपहर बाद होगी।
  
  
  
  
  गहलोत सरकार का दावा है कि उनके पास 109 विधायकों का समर्थन पत्र है, जबकि उप मुख्यमंत्री सचिन पायलट ने दावा किया है कि 30 कांग्रेस विधायक उनके समर्थन में है। पायलट के हवाले से सूत्रों ने दावा किया है कि उप मुख्यमंत्री भाजपा में नहीं जाएंगे। वे एक अलग तीसरा मोर्चा खड़ा कर सकते हैं। पायलट सोमवार को नई पार्टी की घोषणा कर सकते हैं।
  
  
  इसमें कांग्रेस के एक तिहाई विधायकों के शामिल होने का दावा किया जा रहा है। प्रगतिशील कांग्रेस के नाम से तीसरा मोर्चा खड़ा करने की संभावना के बीच भारतीय जनता पार्टी के केन्‍द्र और राज्‍य के वरिष्‍ठ नेता इस पूरे घटनाक्रम पर अपनी निगाहें बनाए हुए हैं।
  
  
  कांंग्रेस पार्टी के संगठन महासचिव और राजस्थान से राज्यसभा सदस्य चुने गए केसी वेणुगोपाल भी जयपुर पहुंच गए हैं। इधर, आयकर विभाग ने सोमवार सुबह मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत के नजदीकी नेताओं के ठिकानों पर छापेमारी कर सियासी सरगर्मियां बढ़ा दी। विभाग की ओर से होटल फेयर माउंट समेत 22 ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की गई है। जिन नेताओं के यहां छापेमारी हुई हैं, उनमें मुख्‍यमंत्री के खास सिपहसालार कांग्रेस नेता राजीव अरोड़ा और धर्मेन्‍द्र सिंह राठौड भी शामिल है। इस बीच प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सचिन पायलट की बगावत के बाद प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी कार्यालय से पायलट के पोस्टर हटा लिए गए हैं।
  
  
  राजस्थान में विधायकों की खरीद-फरोख्त के प्रकरण में स्पेशल ऑपरेशन ग्रुप (एसओजी) की ओर से मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत, उप मुख्यमंत्री सचिन पायलट समेत कई विधायकों को बयान दर्ज कराने के लिए नोटिस जारी करने से गर्माए सियासी पारे को शांत करने और सियासी समीकरण साधने के लिए दिल्ली से आलाकमान के निर्देश पर प्रदेश प्रभारी अविनाश पांडे, रणदीप सुरजेवाला और अजय माकन को जयपुर भेजा। तीनों नेताओं ने रविवार देर रात तक मुख्यमंत्री आवास पर गहलोत और अन्य नेताओं से मुलाकात की और सारी स्थितियों को लेकर विचार विमर्श किया।
  
  
  इसके बाद रात ढाई बजे पत्रकार वार्ता कर 109 विधायकों का समर्थन हासिल होने का दावा किया।अविनाश पांडे ने कहा कि सोमवार सुबह विधायक दल बैठक होगी इसे लेकर व्हीप जारी कर दिया है जो विधायक इसका उल्लंघन करेगा उसके खिलाफ अनुशासनत्मक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। पांडे ने कहा कि बीजेपी की साजिश कामयाब नहीं होगी , राजस्थान के सभी विधायक एकजुट है। तीनों नेताओं ने राजस्थान सरकार को किसी तरह का खतरा होने से इनकार किया।
  
  
  इधर बहुजन समाज पार्टी से कांग्रेस में शामिल हुए विधायक राजेंद्र गुढ़ा ने सनसनीखेज खुलासा करते हुए कहा कि उन्‍हें खरीदने की कोशिश की गई है। विधायक दल की बैठक में शामिल होने आए गुड़ा ने मुख्यमंत्री आवास के बाहर पत्रकारों से बातचीत में कहा कि रविवार रात को हमसे होटल में संपर्क किया गया और हमें ऑफर दिया गया। आयकर छापों लेकर उन्होंने कहा कि सरकारी मशीनरी का दुरुपयोग किया गया है। उन्होंने दावा किया कि सरकार बचाने के लिए बीजेपी के कुछ नेताओं से भी संपर्क किया जा सकता है।
  
  
  मुख्यमंत्री, उप मुख्यमंत्री और अन्य कुछ विधायकों को एसओजी का नोटिस जारी होने के बाद से राजस्थान में सियासी बखेड़ा खड़ा हो गया है। उप मुख्यमंत्री पायलट कुछ समर्थित विधायकों के साथ दिल्ली में डेरा डाले हुए हैं, जबकि मुख्यमंत्री गहलोत रविवार को पूरे दिन सरकार बचाने की कवायद में लगे रहे।
  
  
  भाजपा इस पूरे मसले पर निगाहें गढ़ाए हुए हैं। भाजपा प्रदेशाध्यक्ष सतीश पूनियां ने कहा कि कांग्रेस सरकार बनने के बाद से उनमें अंर्तकलह चल रहा है। यही अंर्तकलह इस सरकार को ले डूबेगा।

In A First, Kerala Schools’ New Academic Year Begins Online

With authorities trying their level best to bring back normalcy to day-to-day lives of people — thrown haywire by the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdown — Kerala has opted for online teaching to ensure the studies of schoolchildren in the coastal state does not suffer.

Online classes have been enabled through state-owned KITE-Victers Channel to benefit about 4.5 million students from Class 1 to 12 of state syllabus schools.


Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan appeared on TV at 8.30 am on Monday and announced the commencement of the online classes.


“Each class will have separate time slots and schoolteachers concerned will have to constantly interact with their students to ensure that all follow the new routine of online classes,” said Vijayan.


For students who miss online classes due to power failure or connectivity issues, there will be a daily repeat telecast, as also available on YouTube.


But for the COVID scare, Monday would have witnessed the usual hustle and bustle in Kerala schools as students would have walked in wearing new school uniforms and carrying schoolbags.


Vice-Chairman and Executive Director Anwar Sadath of Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) — which is behind the IT-enabled education in over 16,000 Kerala schools — told IANS that they have been working on the project for a while, with the biggest advantage that all digital content was ready.


He said it could never ever be imagined that online classrooms would be put into effect so quickly.


“We have prepared time-tables for all classes. The first class of the day was for Class 12 English subject for half an hour in which lectures recorded by two teachers were aired. This service reaches every student’s home through the KITE-Victers channel, which is aired by a cable TV network,” said Sadath.


Daily, there will be four periods for Class 12, 3 for Class X and two each for Class 8 and 9, and one period each for all other classes. Each period will be of 30-minute duration.


“KITE-Victers is holding online classes through the broadcast, web, and even offline. One or two teachers handle one subject for a 30-minute period. The telecast is watched by all the students of that particular class across the state. At the end of the day, the teachers concerned at every school interact with their students through mobile phones for feedback. It’s the responsibility of the teacher concerned to clear all doubts of his or her students,” said Sadath.


Recording of all lectures for the next two weeks has been done while recording for the third week has commenced.


Special arrangements have been made for students who do not have TVs or smartphones.


“In-state schools, there are 1.20 lakh laptops, 80,000 projectors, and 4,500 TV sets. By now, teachers have identified students who do not have access to TVs. We have made arrangements to set up TV facilities in which 5 to 10 students can visit near their homes and attend online classes while observing social distancing norms. All these students need to come for just 30 minutes daily,” the KITE officer said.


State Higher Education Minister (Colleges) K.T. Jaleel, who has been a history teacher, inaugurated the online classes for colleges by taking a lecturer on ‘renaissance’ for History students. For the colleges, it’s more of a web telecast.


State Education Minister C. Raveendranth, a former college professor, said that the online classes were just a temporary arrangement and not an alternative to traditional classroom learning.


“Once the situation normalizes, students can return to their classrooms. All shortcomings in the online system will be rectified,” said Raveendranath.


A Class 12 student, who attended her first online class, said it was a new experience for her.


“However, I wish to attend school and sit in a classroom with my friends. Online teaching does not give the same experience as one gets when in school. I wish and hope the schools reopen soon,” said the student.


Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy pointed out that Victer's TV channel was launched by then-President APJ Abdul Kalam when Chandy was the Chief Minister in 2005.

कोरोना का प्रकोप, सादगी से मनेगी ईद

कोरोना महामारी को देखते हुए मुस्लिम समुदाय के लोगों ने श्नो शॉपिग फॉर ईदश् का अभियान चला रखा है। लिहाजा इस बार की ईद लॉकडाउन 4.0 में मनाई जाएगी। इस दौरान किसी को ईदगाह या मस्जिद में जमा होने की इजाजत नहीं होगी। इस बार ईद सादगी से मनेगी। लोग नए कपड़े नहीं पहनेंगे। मुस्लिम समुदाय के लोगों द्वारा कहा जा रहा है कि जब मस्जिदों में नमाज बंद है, तरावीह बंद है, मस्जिदें वीरान हैं तो इस बार ईद का भी सेलिब्रेशन नहीं होना चाहिए। हम नए कपड़े, जूता, चप्पल, ज्वैलरी क्यों खरीदें। लॉकडाउन में घर पर ही रहें। बाहर निकलने से कोरोना के फैलने का भय भी है। मुश्किल हालात में ईद की शॉपिग करना गलत है।

ईद-उल-फितर भूख-प्यास सहन करके एक महीने तक सिर्फ खुदा को याद करने वाले रोजेदारों को अल्लाह का इनाम है। सेवइयां में लिपटी मोहब्बत की मिठास इस त्योहार की खूबी है। मुसलमानों का सबसे बड़ा त्योहार कहा जाने वाला यह पर्व न सिर्फ हमारे समाज को जोड़ने का मजबूत सूत्र है, बल्कि यह इस्लाम के प्रेम और सौहार्दभरे संदेश को भी पुरअसर ढंग से फैलाता है।


मीठी ईद भी कहा जाने वाला यह पर्व खासतौर पर भारतीय समाज के ताने-बाने और उसकी भाईचारे की सदियों पुरानी परंपरा का वाहक है। इस दिन विभिन्न धर्मों के लोग गिले-शिकवे भुलाकर एक-दूसरे से गले मिलते हैं और सेवइयां अमूमन उनकी तल्खी की कड़वाहट को मिठास में बदल देती है।


ईद-उल-फितर एक रूहानी महीने में कड़ी आजमाइश के बाद रोजेदार को अल्लाह की तरफ से मिलने वाला रूहानी इनाम है। ईद समाजी तालमेल और मोहब्बत का मजबूत धागा है, यह त्योहार इस्लाम धर्म की परंपराओं का आईना है। एक रोजेदार के लिए इसकी अहमियत का अंदाजा अल्लाह के प्रति उसकी कृतज्ञता से लगाया जा सकता है। दुनिया में चांद देखकर रोजा रहने और चांद देखकर ईद मनाने की पुरानी परंपरा है और आज के हाईटेक युग में तमाम बहस-मुबाहिसे के बावजूद यह रिवाज कायम है। व्यापक रूप से देखा जाए तो रमजान और उसके बाद ईद व्यक्ति को एक इंसान के रूप में सामाजिक जिम्मेदारियों को अनिवार्य रूप से निभाने का दायित्व भी सौंपती है।



रमजान में हर सक्षम मुसलमान को अपनी कुल संपत्ति के ढाई प्रतिशत हिस्से के बराबर की रकम निकालकर उसे गरीबों में बांटना होता है। इससे समाज के प्रति उसकी जिम्मेदारी का निर्वहन तो होता ही है, साथ ही गरीब रोजेदार भी अल्लाह के इनामरूपी त्योहार को मना पाते हैं। व्यापक रूप से देखें तो ईद की वजह से समाज के लगभग हर वर्ग को किसी न किसी तरह से फायदा होता है। चाहे वह वित्तीय लाभ हो या फिर सामाजिक फायदा हो।



भारत में ईद का त्योहार यहां की गंगा-जमुनी तहजीब के साथ मिलकर उसे और जवां और खुशनुमा बनाता है। हर धर्म और वर्ग के लोग इस दिन को तहेदिल से मनाते हैं। ईद के दिन सिवइयों या शीर-खुरमे से मुंह मीठा करने के बाद छोटे-बड़े, अपने-पराए, दोस्त-दुश्मन गले मिलते हैं तो चारों तरफ मोहब्बत ही मोहब्बत नजर आती है। एक पवित्र खुशी से दमकते सभी चेहरे इंसानियत का पैगाम माहौल में फैला देते हैं। अल्लाह से दुआएं मांगते व रमजान के रोजे और इबादत की हिम्मत के लिए खुदा का शुक्र अदा करते हाथ हर तरफ दिखाई पड़ते हैं और यह उत्साह बयान करता है कि लो ईद आ गई।


कुरआन के अनुसार पैगंबरे इस्लाम ने कहा है कि जब अहले ईमान रमजान के पवित्र महीने के एहतेरामों से फारिग हो जाते हैं और रोजों-नमाजों तथा उसके तमाम कामों को पूरा कर लेते हैं तो अल्लाह एक दिन अपने उक्त इबादत करने वाले बंदों को बख्शीश व इनाम से नवाजता है। इसलिए इस दिन को श्ईदश् कहते हैं और इसी बख्शीश व इनाम के दिन को ईद-उल-फितर का नाम देते हैं।


रमजान इस्लामी कैलेंडर का नौवां महीना है। इस पूरे माह में रोजे रखे जाते हैं। इस महीने के खत्म होते ही 10वां माह शव्वाल शुरू होता है। इस माह की पहली चांद रात ईद की चांद रात होती है। इस रात का इंतजार वर्षभर खास वजह से होता है, क्योंकि इस रात को दिखने वाले चांद से ही इस्लाम के बड़े त्योहार ईद-उल-फितर का ऐलान होता है। इस तरह से यह चांद ईद का पैगाम लेकर आता है। इस चांद रात को श्अल्फाश् कहा जाता है। जमाना चाहे जितना बदल जाए, लेकिन ईद जैसा त्योहार हम सभी को अपनी जड़ों की तरफ वापस खींच लाता है और यह अहसास कराता है कि पूरी मानव जाति एक है और इंसानियत ही उसका मजहब है।

15 Measures to Revive Economy, Big Takeaways For MSMEs, NBFCs

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has come out with 15 new and some enhanced measures to revive businesses, and support workers via fiscal incentives and regulatory easing under the mega stimulus package — Self-Reliant India Movement — which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening.

Accordingly, on Wednesday, Sitharaman announced the slew of fiscal and regulatory measures for MSMEs, real estate, NBFCs, power distribution and general businesses and workers.


She attempted to decrease the regulatory burden on companies while increasing the take-home pay of employees via these measures.


In terms of takeaways, the biggest was for the MSME sector which is considered to be the backbone of economic activity.


As a major reform measure for the sector, the Centre has decided to give a new definition to MSMEs.


This will denote the type of companies that will be included in the sector. Specifications wise, the investment limit for defining MSMEs has been revised upwards.


Besides, she highlighted that additional criteria such as turnover have been considered for defining MSMEs.


In terms of fiscal measures, the Minister announced that Rs 3 lakh crore “Collateral-free Automatic Loans” for businesses, including MSMEs, will be provided to meet operational liabilities built up, buy raw material and restart the business.


She announced another scheme worth Rs 20,000 crore for “Subordinate Debt for Stressed MSMEs”.


A Rs 50,000 crore “Fund of Funds” for MEMEs which face a severe shortage of equity was also announced.


The Centre has also decided not to go in for global bidding for government procurement for tenders up to Rs 200 crore, thereby, promoting the participation of MSMEs, she said.


Furthermore, e-market linkage for MSMEs will be provided and that the CPSEs will pay all receivables to MSMEs within 45 days.


Besides MSMEs, a Rs 30,000 crore special liquidity scheme for non-banking finance companies (NBFCs), housing finance companies (HFCs) and micro-finance institutions (MFIs) was announced.


This scheme will provide investments in both primary and secondary market transactions in “investment grade debt paper of these institutions”.


The minister said the scheme will support the previous initiatives of the government and the central bank to boost liquidity.


The securities under the scheme will be fully guaranteed by the Central government. Further, the FM has also announced Rs 45,000 crore partial credit guarantee scheme for NBFCs.


Under this measure, the first 20 per cent loss will be borne by the Centre, and even unrated papers will be eligible for investment, enabling NBFCs to reach out even to MSMEs in far-flung areas.


Additionally, a Rs 90,000 crore liquidity injection plan was announced for the financially stressed power distribution companies.


This plan will allow these entities to clear their dues towards power generation companies.


As per the plan, the liquidity window for discoms was essential as its revenue has plummeted and they are in the midst of unprecedented cash flow problem accentuated by demand reduction during the current lockdown.


The scheme will allow power sector financiers — PFC and REC to infuse liquidity of Rs 90,000 crore to discoms against receivables.


Loans will be extended against State guarantees for the exclusive purpose of discharging liabilities of discoms to gencos.


Apart from discoms, relief steps for the real estate industry were also announced.


The Minister stated that Union Ministry for Housing and Urban Affairs will issue advisory to states and union territories to declare the Covid-19 situation as a ‘force majeure’ under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act.


With this move, the government has allowed the suo-moto extension of the registration and completion date by six months for all registered project expiring on or after March 25, 2020, without individual applications.


Simultaneously, to give regulatory relief to businesses Sitharaman announced a six-month extension of contracts for contractors by all central agencies and departments including railways, the Central Public Works Department, and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.


The extension would not come with any cost for the contractors, she said. This scheme covers construction works and goods and services contracts.


It also applies on obligations like completion of work, intermediate milestones and extension of concession period in public-private partnership contracts.


The minister also announced that government agencies will partially release bank guarantees, to the extent contracts are partially completed, to ease cash flows.


Finally to provide more money into the taxpayers’ hands, Centre decided to reduce the TDS (tax deduction at source) rates for non-salaried specified payments made to residents, and the TCS (tax collection at source) rates by 25 per cent for the specified receipts.


Sitharaman said the move would release Rs 50,000 crore liquidity.


As per the announcement, the reduced TDS rate will be applicable to the payment for a contract, professional fees, interest, rent, dividend, commission and brokerage. It will be applicable for the remaining part of FY21 — from May 14 to March 31, 2021.


Speaking to the media, Finance Minister pointed out the due date of all income tax returns for FY 2019-20 will be extended from July 31, 2020, October 31, 2020, to November 30, 2020, and tax audit from September 30, 2020, to October 31, 2020.


The government has also extended the date of assessments getting barred on September 30, 2020, to December 31, 2020, and those getting barred on March 31, 2021, to September 30, 2021.


In another major move for businesses and charitable trusts, Sitharaman announced that all pending refunds to charitable trusts and non-corporate businesses and professions, including proprietorship, partnership, LLP and co-operatives, shall be issued immediately.


In addition, she announced a further extension of the deadline for settling tax disputes under the Vivid se Vishwaas scheme without paying any interest and penalty to December 31, 2020, from June 30, 2020.


“The sectors covered in the initial phase are clearly the ones that required the highest policy attention at this juncture, including MSME, power, and construction and real estate. The impact of the package totalling Rs 20 lakh crore to be unveiled in the next few days would add to spending power and bring relief to millions of enterprises that employ huge numbers of workers. We expect the stimulus measure to impart stability and growth to the economy,” said Vikram Kirloskar, President, Confederation of Indian Industry.


According to Ficci’s President Sangita Reddy: “The greatest takeaway from today’s announcement was the clear focus on getting liquidity flowing into the system.”


“Besides liquidity, we need to give equal focus on generating consumption demand and propping up investments. We hope that in the next set of announcements, these areas will be taken up in a comprehensive manner as well.”


On its part, Assocham’s Secretary General Deepak Sood said: “The Rs 3 lakh crore collateral-free loans for the MSMEs on a guarantee from the government would have a big-time multiplier impact and would generate economic activity of at least up to Rs 10 lakh crore, not only retaining the jobs but also creating additional employment.”


He further said, treating COVID-19 as an ‘act of God’ and allowing the real estate developers extra six months for completion of projects would help both the developers and the consumers as it would make the sector viable.


Sood listed reduction in the TDS by 25 percentage points as a demand-boosting measure along with a cut in the EPFO deductions from 12 to 10 per cent.


Industry body PHD Chamber’s President D.K. Aggarwal said the liquidity injection of Rs 90,000 crore for DISCOMs will significantly help the power sector in mitigating the impact of demand deduction amid pandemic COVID-19 scenario.

बुद्ध पूर्णिमा : भगवान बुद्ध का संदेश सत्य, अहिंसा और करुणा का अमूल्य उपहार हैं

भगवान बुद्ध का जन्म वैशाख मास की पूर्णिमा को हुआ था इस पूर्णिमा को बुद्ध पूर्णिमा कहा जाता है। भगवान बुद्ध का सत्य, अहिंसा और करुणा का संदेश मानवता की अमूल्य निधि हैं, उनकी शिक्षा धर्माचरण, नैतिक मूल्यों और कर्तव्यों के प्रति जागरूक रहने तथा अपनी प्रेरणा और प्रकाश स्वयं बनने को प्रेरित करती है।

बुद्ध पूर्णिमा बौद्ध अनुयायियों के साथ-साथ हिंदुओं के लिये भी खास पर्व है। हिन्‍दू धर्म में गौतम बुद्ध को भगवान श्री विष्णु का नौवां अवतार माना जाता है। इतिहासकारों के अनुसार बुद्ध के जीवनकाल को 563-483 ई.पू. के मध्य माना गया है। अधिकांश लोग नेपाल के लुम्बिनी नामक स्थान को बुद्ध का जन्म स्थान मानते हैं. गौतम बुद्ध की मृत्यु, उत्तर प्रदेश के कुशीनगर में 80 वर्ष की आयु में हुई थी।


वैसाख पूर्णिमा के दिन सुबह-सुबह श्री हरि विष्णु की पूजा की जाती है। इस दिन पवित्र नदियों में स्नान का विशेष महत्व है। इस दिन धर्मराज की पूजा करने की भी मान्यता है। कहते हैं कि सत्यविनायक व्रत से धर्मराज खुश होते हैं। माना जाता है कि धर्मराज मृत्यु के देवता हैं इसलिए उनके प्रसन्न होने से अकाल मौत का डर कम हो जाता है।


बुद्ध पूर्णिमा का संबंध बुद्ध के साथ केवल जन्म भर का नहीं है बल्कि इसी पूर्णिमा तिथि को वर्षों वन में भटकने व कठोर तपस्या करने के पश्चात बोधगया में बोधिवृक्ष नीचे बुद्ध को सत्य का ज्ञान हुआ। कह सकते हैं उन्हें बुद्धत्व की प्राप्ति भी वैशाख पूर्णिमा को हुई। इसके पश्चात महात्मा बुद्ध ने अपने ज्ञान के प्रकाश से पूरी दुनिया में एक नई रोशनी पैदा की और वैशाख पूर्णिमा के दिन ही कुशीनगर में उनका महापरिनिर्वाण हुआ। कुल मिलाकर जन्म, सत्य का ज्ञान और महापरिनिर्वाण के लिये भगवान गौतम बुद्ध को एक ही दिन यानी वैशाख पूर्णिमा के दिन ही हुआ।


भारत के साथ साथ चीन, नेपाल, सिंगापुर, वियतनाम, थाइलैंड, जापान, कंबोडिया, मलेशिया, श्रीलंका, म्यांमार, इंडोनेशिया, पाकिस्तान जैसे दुनिया के कई देशों में बुद्ध पूर्णिमा के दिन बुद्ध जयंती मनाई जाती है। भारत के बिहार राज्य में स्थित बोद्ध गया बुद्ध के अनुयायियों सहित हिंदुओं के लिये भी पवित्र धार्मिक स्थल है। कुशीनगर में बुद्ध पूर्णिमा के अवसर पर लगभग एक माह तक मेला लगता है। हालांकि लॉकडाउन की वजह से इस साल मेले का आयोजन नहीं किया गया है। श्रीलंका जैसे कुछ देशों में इस उस्तव को वेसाक उत्सव के रूप में मनाते हैं। बौद्ध अनुयायी इस दिन अपने घरों में दिये जलाते हैं और फूलों से घर सजाते हैं। इस दिन बौद्ध धर्म ग्रंथों का पाठ किया जाता है।


भगवान बुद्ध केवल बौद्ध धर्म के अनुयायियों के लिये आराध्य नहीं है बल्कि उत्तरी भारत में गौतम बुद्ध को हिंदुओं में भगवान श्री विष्णु का नौवां अवतार भी माना जाता है। विष्णु के आठवें अवतार भगवान श्री कृष्ण माने जाते हैं। हालांकि दक्षिण भारत में बुद्ध को विष्णु का अवतार नहीं माना जाता है। दक्षिण भारतीय बलराम को विष्णु का आठवां अवतार तो श्री कृष्ण को 9वां अवतार मानते हैं। बौद्ध धर्म के अनुयायी भी भगवान बुद्ध के विष्णु के अवतार होने को नहीं मानते।

कोरोना संक्रमण के दौर में पेट के लिए जूझते मजदूर

• मजदूर दिवस 01 मई पर विशेष

मजदूर और उनके दर्द को समझ पाना हर किसी के वश की बात नहीं। कोरोना वायरस फैलने के बाद देश और दुनिया में मजदूरों के समक्ष भुखमरी की समस्या उत्पन्न हो गई है। अपनी मेहनत के बूते अपनों का पेट भरने वाला मजदूर आज खुद ही अपना पेट पालने के लिए सरकार पर आश्रित है। इनके जीवन की नाव बीच मंझधार में फंस गई है।


भले ही इनके लिए इंतजाम करने के दावे किए जाते हों मगर उन दरों-दीवार की दहलीज के अंदर का पुरसाहाल किसे पता जहां एक रोटी में दिन गुजारने पड़ रहे हैं। मां का कलेजा उस वक्त दर्द से फट जाता है जब उसके मासूम को दूध तक नसीब नहीं हो पाता है। पर, करे भी तो क्या उसकी तकदीर में शायद यही लिखा है, इसे अपना नसीब मानकर जिंदगी के बचे दिन खुद और अपने परिवार वालों को जिंदा रखने की जद्दोजहद में काट रहे हैं।

 "गए थे अपने परिवार के गुजर-बसर के लिए परदेस कमाने मगर उन्हें क्या पता था कि चीन की गलती का खामियाजा उन्हें अपने देश में भुखमरी के रूप में भुगतना पड़ेगा। मगर ऐसा ही हुआ, सबकुछ बदल गया, देशवासियों को बचाने के लिए सरकार ने फैसला लिया लॉकडाउन का और देश का नजारा बदल गया"

बंद हो गई फैक्ट्रियां, बंद हो गई दुकानें, बंद हो गई मजदूरी, फिर क्या दो-चार दिन तो किसी तरह कट गए मगर उसके बाद रोज कमाने खाने वालों के सामने बड़ी समस्या उत्पन्न हो गई। परदेस में अपने घर की तरफ जाने का कोई साधन नहीं मिला तो पैदल ही हजार किमी चल पड़े। कई राहों में जिंदगी को आखिरी सलाम कर गए तो बहुत बड़े पैमाने पर लोग अपने घऱों तक सही सलामत पैदल ही पहुंच गए।कल तक इन मजदूरों की कोई कीमत नहीं थी। लेकिन आज जब खेतों में अनाज सड़ने लगे, दुनिया का बोझ उठाने की जरूरत पड़ी तो इनकी अहमियत सभी को समझ आने लगी।


जो पैसे के लिए हाय-हाय किए रहते थे, वो आज खुद को भी हाशिए पर पा रहे हैं। कहते हैं कि जिंदगी रहेगी तभी तो यह पैसा काम आएगा। काश! वक्त रहते इसको समझ पाते लोग लेकिन इसको कहां तक लोग समझ पाएंगे, कब समझ पाएंगे यह तो लॉकडाउन खत्म होने के बाद जिंदगी के सलामती के बाद ही पता चल पाएगा।


भारतीय शहरों में हमेशा से बाहरी मजदूर रहे हैं। मजदूर शहरों की कई जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए रहते हैं। मजदूर कितनी बुरी परिस्थितियों में प्रमुख शहरों में रहते हैं इसका हाल सभी जानते हैं मगर कोई इनके दर्द को समझने की कोशिश नहीं करता। इनके उत्थान के लिए सरकारें वादा तो करती हैं मगर इन तक कितनी सुविधाएं पहुंचती हैं ये किसी से छुपी नहीं है।


1 मई, 1886 को मजदूरों के सम्मान में एक दिन की छुट्टी का ऐलान हुआ, जिसे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मजदूर दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाएगा। इसको अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रमिक दिवस, श्रम दिवस या मई दिवस भी कहते हैं। इस दिवस को मनाने के पीछे उन मजदूर यूनियनों की हड़ताल है जो कि आठ घंटे से ज्यादा काम न कराने के लिए की गई थी। मजदूर हमारे समाज का वह हिस्सा है जिसपर समस्त आर्थिक उन्नति टिकी है। वर्तमान समय के मशीनी युग में भी उनकी महत्ता कम नहीं हुई है।


श्रम बेचकर मजदूर अपनी न्यूनतम मजदूरी कमाता है। इसीलिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रमिक संघ को बढ़ावा देने के लिये मजदूर दिवस को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मनाया जाने लगा। पारंपरिक तौर पर इसको यूरोप में गर्मी के अवकाश के रूप में घोषित किया गया था, इसीलिए पूरे विश्व में 1 मई को “अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मजदूर दिवस” मनाया जाता है। वैसे तो इस मौके पर दुनिया के 80 देशों में राष्ट्रीय अवकाश रहता है। इस दिवस का मूल उद्देश्य “सामाजिक और आर्थिक प्रगति के लिए श्रमिकों को एकजुट करना” है।

"आठ घंटे के कार्यदिवस की जरूरत को बढ़ावा देने के अलावा मजदूरों और मालिकों के बीच संघर्ष को खत्म करने के लिये अंतर्राष्ट्रीय श्रमिक दिवस मनाया जाता है। पहले मजदूरों के काम करने की स्थिति बहुत कष्टदायक और असुरक्षित थी। 10 से 16 घंटों तक काम करना पड़ता था। अमेरिकन संघ के द्वारा 1884 में श़िकागो के राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में मजदूरों के लिये काम के लिए वैधानिक समय के रूप में आठ घंटे निर्धारित किया गया।"

 

हालांकि भारत में 1 मई 1923 को श्रमिकों द्वारा “मद्रास दिवस” मनाया गया था। किसान मज़दूर पार्टी के नेता कामरेड सिंगरावेलू चेट्यार ने इसकी शुरुआत की थी और मद्रास हाईकोर्ट के सामने इस दिन को पूरे भारत में “मजदूर दिवस” के रूप में मनाने का संकल्प लिया और छुट्टी का ऐलान किया था।

कोरोना संक्रमण से जंग जीतने के बाद लॉकडाउन खुलेगा। उसके बाद की दुनिया बदलेगी, लोगों का जीवन फिर से पटरी पर लौटेगा। इस विषम परिस्थिति में सभी अपने तरीके से दर्द बांटने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। मगर सोचने और विचारने का विषय यह है कि क्या इस भयावह दौर के गुजर जाने के बाद मजदूरों की जिंदगी बदलेगी? क्या इनकी उम्मीदों पर दुनिया खरी उतरेगी? या फिर इनके जीवन में मजदूरी का वही दर्द पिरोया मिलेगा। यह तो वक्त गुजरने के साथ खुद ही पता चल जाएगा।

झारखंड में संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियां निरन्तर कर रही है मानव सेवा

संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियों के तत्वधान में झारखण्ड के सुदूर ग्रामीण और कुछ शहरी क्षेत्रों में जरूरतमंद और निःसहाय परिवारों के बीच अपने अनुयायियों एवं समर्थकों के साथ खाद्य पदार्थ एवं सुरक्षा सामग्री का निरन्तर लाॅकडाउन के बाद से ही वितरण हो रहा है।

झारखंड राज्य में जो अपनी सेवाएं लंगर एवं राशन बांटने में संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ निःस्वार्थ भाव से राज्य में प्रभावित हजारों परिवारों के बीच कर रहा है, यह सेवा झारखंड में चलाये जा रहे सरकारी विभागों द्वारा और अन्य समाजिक संस्थाओं द्वारा की कड़ी में एक महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। इसकी चर्चा झारखंड के जनमानस में बहुत सम्मानित ढंग से हो रही है।

       "संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियां झारखण्ड राज्य के अलावे मध्यप्रदेश, बंगाल, असम जहां कुछ क्षेत्रों में     उनकी शाखाएं हैं, वहां भी उनके अनुयायी निःस्वार्थ भाव से मानव सेवा में तन-मन-धन से समर्पित हैं।"

लाभुकों जिनकी आर्थिक दृष्टि दयनीय है, ससम्मान एवं प्यार से उन्हें कच्चा राशन घर-घर पहुंचाकर दिया जा रहा है।

कुछ तस्वीरों में संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ द्वारा की जा रही सेवाएं झलकती हैं। इन सेवाओं में महामान्वर फेलिक्स टोप्पो, एस0जे0, महाधर्माध्यक्ष, राॅंची, अति मान्यवर थेओदोर मस्करेन्हस, एस0 एफ0 एक्स., सहायक धर्माध्यक्ष, राॅंची, डाॅ0 स्टीफन हांसदा, मेडिकल सुपीरिटेन्डेन्ट, फा0 मक्सीमुस टोप्पो, पल्ली पुरोहित, सम्मानीया सि0 लिण्डा मेरी वाॅन, सुपीरियर जेनेरल, डी0 एस0 ए0 व महासलाहकारिणियाँ क्रमशः सि0 लिली ग्रेस टोपनो, सि0 निर्मला ज्योति कच्छप, व सि0 मेरी पुष्पा तिर्की, सि0 सोशन बाड़ा, सि0 जसीन्ता, अपने सहयोगियों के साथ तन-मन से निरन्तर कार्यरत हैं और मानव एकता की मशाल जला रहे हैं।

इस संकट की घड़ी में संत सन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियों ने शहरी एवं सुदूर ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में उन स्थानों का चयन किया है, जहां बहुत हीं असहाय एवं जरूरतमंद परिवार रहते हैं और जिन्हें राशन और भोजन की नितांत आवश्यकता है, जैसे दिस्किली, बलीकत, बारटोली, कडरूटोली, कच्चाबाड़ी, माण्डर के सुदूर गांव, सिदरौल, बूढ़मू, लोहरा कोचा, बिरसा चैक, लोवाडीह इत्यादि अनेक छोटे-बड़े कस्बे और गांव शामिल हैं।

सेवारत पुत्रियों ने साथ ही साथ राहत सामग्री बांटते हुए सभी लोगों को कोरोना वायरस से संबंधित सावधानी व बचाव की कई जानकारियाॅं दी और भोजन वितरण स्थल पर आनेवाले लोगों को मास्क लगाकर आने के लिए हिदायत दी तथा सावधानी के अन्तर्गत उन्होंने बताया कि आपसब एक-दूसरे से पर्याप्त दूरी बनाकर रहिए, इसमें कोरोना वायरस से मुक्ति होगी।

"संत अन्ना धर्मसंघ की पुत्रियों का कहना है कि इस संसार में रहने वाले बहन-भाई सब अपने हैं और उनकी सेवा करना हमारा कर्तव्य है।"
